To ensure a fun and safe experience for students and spectators, we will postpone the noise parade until tomorrow evening. Thursday at 6:45 pm students will meet at Athena Elementary and the parade will start at 7 pm or following the end of the varsity volleyball game.
We understand that inclement weather was not in the plan for the Noise Parade. At this point in time, the Noise Parade is still ON. We are following OSAA guidelines for our activities. If any lightning is heard as students are decorating, students must wait at least 30 minutes from the last strike before outdoor activities can resume. At 6 p.m. at the latest a decision will be made deciding if we will hold the Noise Parade today. In the event the Noise Parade will be canceled, a robo call will be made at that time. Any lightning heard after 6 p.m. will cancel the Noise parade immediately. Our students' safety is our top priority and we are really hoping the weather cooperates to allow us to hold this fun event. In the event the parade is canceled we will do our best to reschedule as soon as possible. Check back for updates.
