Weston McEwen High School Juniors attended the Career Connect event hosted at the Pendleton Convention Center. Career Connect aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world careers by offering area students the opportunity to interact with professionals from various industries. Events like these play a crucial role in helping students explore their interests, discover new career possibilities, and make informed decisions about their future. Plant science class did some learning outside of the classroom this week. Mrs. Tompkins students learned more about local crops at Nutrien in Athena. Then attended a tour at Walla Walla Nursery Company and learned about the process of producing plants to market to wholesalers. Thank you to NUTRIEN (Athena) and WW NURSERY COMPANY for your time.
