Ashley Tompkins

Weston McEwen High School received a CTE grant for $125,000.00 to start an agriculture food science program!

This program will focus on food safety, production, processing, and marketing. Classes will start in the fall of 2022 at WMHS, and be taught by Ashley Tompkins who has taught agriculture science for 8 years.

WMHS plans to have a "farm to table" learning experience for the class. Students will be able to incorporate every part of food science into their education. They will plant the seeds, grow the plants, harvest the food, and process and cook their homegrown products. We will create a catering program that would be able to provide services and food for our district events too.
