To Athena-Weston School District Families and Community:
Today, Governor Kate Brown announced that the indoor mask mandate will lift beginning March 12, 2022. This is a week earlier than anticipated. The district will review the Oregon Department of Education’s updated guidance that will be issued later this week. Once the impact to the school setting is clarified, we will communicate changes to the district’s Resiliency Plan/Safe Return to Schools Plan, including changes to the indoor mask requirement for our schools. I appreciate your continued patience as we adjust our school plans to align with this accelerated timeline.
