"2.5 years"
Why do you believe it is important to be on the board of directors?
"The budget isn't going to approve itself... And to support our children, our district staff, and our community by ensuring that the school district is well-run and effective. Our children are our future, we need to ensure they are receiving a quality education. School provides so much more than just the "three Rs" and we need to make sure that continues. The district is the largest single employer in our community, we need to ensure it's well run, financially stable, and providing opportunity to all. "
What are your favorite hobbies?
"Running, skiing, reading."
What is your day job?
"I work for the Oregon Water Resources Department."
What activities were you involved in during your high school years?
"Basketball, skiing, goofing off."
What was your favorite subject in school?
"History and Government."
What is your proudest accomplishment?
"I don't have a single thing I'm most proud of accomplishing. I'm very proud to be on the school board. I'm proud of my daughter and the person she is growing up to be. I'm proud to volunteer with organizations like Umatilla County Search and Rescue."
What is one thing on your bucket list?
"Visiting Antarctica."
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
"I'd love to spend a day driving a snowplow for ODOT and learning what it's like trying to keep the roads open in the winter."
What is your useless talent?
"I can run long distances without music or audiobooks."
