How long have you served on the AWSD school board?
" 7 years"

Why you believe it is important to be on the board of directors?
"Studies show that effective school boards are positively correlated with student success and also that good schools strengthen and build vibrant communities. I'm so proud to be a part of this group of people who are dedicated to the flourishing of Athena Weston students and staff and also to the community as a whole."

What are your favorite hobbies?
"Reading, running, walking, kayaking, playing cards and board games"

What is your day job?
"I'm the library and learning hub director at Blue Mountain Community College."

What activities were you involved in during your high school years?
"Swim team, DECA (a marketing and leadership club), student government, church youth group, did a foreign exchange in Spain, and probably other things I'm forgetting."

What was your favorite subject in school growing up?
"History and government (thanks Mr. Crocker!)."

What is your proudest accomplishment?
"Do my children count as an accomplishment? Because they are spectacular."

What is one thing on your bucket list?
"Hiking the PCT. Or going back to school for a PhD. I'd also like to visit all the continents. And I'm hoping to climb Mt. Adams this summer."

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
"I really love a day on a lake in a kayak."

What is your useless talent?
"I am filled with random information and that makes me really good at games of trivia."
