• Graduated in 1970 from McEwen High School as Salutatorian

• Four-year member of National Honor Society, member of student council, class president and played two sports

• Graduated in 1974 from OSU with honors in Home Economics and Education and received her Masters from Washington State University

• Life-long educator - taught in Athena-Weston, Hermiston and Selah Washington

• Chosen Teacher of the Year in two states: Oregon and Washington
