Bob Johns

  • Graduated McEwen High School in 1969

    • Class President Sophomore and Junior year

    • Student Body Vice President and Student Body President

    • Four sport letterman in football, basketball, track and baseball earning 10 varsity letters

    • Active in FFA, played the trombone in band

    • Member of the Honor Society

    • Participated in district and regional speech contests

    • Selected as an alternate to Boys State

  • Graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors degree in Agronomic Crop Science

    • Member of Sigma Nu Fraternity

    • Inducted onto the OSU Agriculture Honor Society

  • President of Oregon Wheat Growers League in 1993

  • Served as President of the Oregon Peas Growers Association

  • Little League and youth basketball coach, Sunday school teacher and youth ministry leader

  • Active in Athena Christian Church where he serves as an Elder

  • Is a lay Counselor with Good Samaritan Ministries and has been on numerous mission trips all over the world

  • In response to the devastating aftermath in Honduras of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, he organized a relief mission form our local area. He led a team that raised tons of food filling two semi-trucks for the Honduran people. It was so huge it had to be delivered by the US Military.

  • Married to Deborah in 1973 and has two children
