Sam Pambrun

  • Graduated from McEwen High School in 1964

  • While at McEwen he played football, basketball and track

    • He was the State Long Jump Champion in 1963 and took second place in 1964

  • He was ASB Treasurer and Presdient of the Thespian Club

  • Following high school, he attended Oregon College of Education and lettered in track for four years

  • He earned a Bachelor of Science and master of Science in Teaching from Eastern Oregon College

  • Career:

    • Teacher and coach at Mapleton High School and Dayville School District

    • Vocational Director and Principal at Scio School District

    • Vocational and Curriculum Director at Umatilla Morrow ESD

    • Helped organize, design and establish Nixyaawii Community School in Mission Oregon

  • Since retirement has continued to stay active as Vice President of the Frenchtown Historic Foundation and Treasurer of the Gem Theatre
