WMHS Life Skills class was recently invited to visit Studio M in Milton-Freewater. The students got to meet Tortie Joe, a 14-year old tortoise that lives at the studio part time. Students fed Tortie strawberries, blueberries, and lettuce. Then everyone got tattoos--the temporary kind. Afterwards, the class enjoyed lunch at La Ramada. Thank you Lydia Metzger for hosting. They all had a great time.

Athletics Today: Basketball @ Irrigon 3pm If you are a Woman that is interested in trades. A last minute field trip is happening 2/1/24 to Hermiston. Students will meet with other Women in Trades and visit a local job site to learn about the trades. This field trip has limited space. Permission slips can be picked up from Kerstin at the office. On Saturday, January 27, the WMHS "CommuniCare" Club and WMHS Honor Society will sponsor two showings of a classic 1970s Bigfoot film at the Athena Gem Theatre. The film was produced by Ron Olson, Mr. Olson's dad and it was distributed and shown around the world. Ron will be on hand for the showing. This is a joint fundraiser between CommuniCare (an arm of the Schnitzer Foundation) and Honor Society. For each dollar raised up to $750 total, CommuniCare will receive ten dollars. The proceeds will be granted out to area food banks. Admission is $10 per person at the door, including popcorn.
